Recently, there has been a great deal of hype regarding anorexia amongst girls all over the world. The increase in the number of girls with the disease first came into the limelight when there were reports of some fashion models dying due to the disease.
It was found that the disease is also affecting a lot of young men nowadays. Those affected by the disease have a tendency of not feeling hungry and so do not take food and start losing their weight at an alarming rate. Many young men are now getting affected by the disease, as was revealed by a study in England.
The rise has been due to the fact that men find people, who look lean, are found to be more popular among girls. So more and more, men are trying to get lean and in trying to do so at the earliest they are consuming less food and with the passage of time getting affected by anorexia. The problem is graver for men, as they do not want to consult doctors with anorexia for they believe that it is a disease mainly affecting girls.
They do not want people to know that they are suffering with the same disease. They are fancied suffering with the disease rather than consulting a doctor.
