If you love beef, it is better to eat the grass fed beef. A recent research has shown that beef from grass fed cattle is healthier, leaner and eco friendly than the grain fed beef.

Much safer than the grain fed beef, the research says that the grass-fed beef contains less fat and boasts of other benefits. It states that three ounces of the grass fed beef contains about 35 milligrams of Omega 3, EPA and DHA, which are good for the heart and the brain, compared to only 18 milligrams of the same from grain fed beef.

It is said that the cattle that feed on the grass also produces more Conjugated Linoleic acid (CLA). Researches have shown that the grass fed beef contains 26 milligrams of CLA when compared to the grain fed cattle, which contains just the half of it.  

There are also no worries about food sickness. The Journal of Dairy Science has pointed out that the E coli levels are higher in grain-fed cattle.

The cattle farms also produce a lot of green house gases that pollutes our environment. It is estimated that corn takes up huge energy inputs that could be harmful to the environment.
