Strain on the Neck and Spine: Sitting in front of the computer for hours and that too in the wrong posture can cause severe pain and stiffness in the spine and the neck. Standing, moving and exercising in improper fashions all add up to these problems.
The spinal problems occur because the spine is made up of three curves and any change in one of them has effects on the other two. If the neck muscles suffer an injury, the lower back tries to perform a dual duty in order to balance the body. This reduces the pressure on the neck and thus relieves the pain. But the overworked lower back bears more stress than it ought to and thus becomes susceptible to injuries. Similarly, when the lower back suffers an injury, the neck tries to compensate by giving the required balance to the body. This can result in chronic neck problems. Lower back and neck pains are generally results of damaged or stressed muscles, which often dislocate the spinal vertebrae and other connected bones. Thus it is very important to repair damaged muscles fast. Prevention of stress and injuries on neck and lower back is important too.
