Welcome to the second half of pregnancy. So you have had it easy till now and the pampering and attention has got you beaming. The frequent nausea that you complained of is nearly gone and you are soaking in the relief. You are still able to walk around comfortably and sleep at night. So far so good, but the advanced stages of pregnancy can spring more than a few nasty surprises on you. Just prepare yourself to handle the situation well.

Half the job seems to be done, and now you are slowly aware of the baby inside you. Why not start a journal to keep track of the changes in your body? This will help you and your doctor to analyze the changes and deal with them. It is also time to take it easy when it comes to hectic schedules. Working women might find it difficult to cope at work, so this is the time to take a few months off.

Listen to soothing or peppy music. Think happy thoughts. Stick to a balanced diet but don’t expect this to be the answer for abnormal weight gain during pregnancy.

Your baby is being nourished through the placenta. The intestines have started developing. The baby will try to absorb sugar through the amniotic fluid. The baby’s eyes are shut but soft hair is growing. Baby must weigh about 10 and half ounces.
